IRCTC Next Generation Login is Amazingly fast for Tatkal bookings

IRCTChas launched IRCTC next-generation login and new next-generation e-ticketing system. IRCTC from the past few months was trying hard to improve its website and finally has done it. We might have noticed the difference in the journey planner, some time we had a new one and sometimes old one. The new journey planner was part of the newIRCTC next-generation website.

The next-generation e-ticketing system is much faster than the older website. NGET IRCTC registration and IRCT login both are much easy and faster. Tatkal booking is also faster.

There are a lot of changes in IRCTC NGET e-ticketing system:
  1. A whole new interface inspired by the old one, but still under up-gradation.
  2. IRCTC Login is now supported by Captcha, now all users have to type a unique set of characters to log in to the NGET website.
  3. New Journey Planner to plan and book tickets.
All user's IRCTC account is being upgraded to the next generation e-ticketing system. Every user when log-in first time to the NGET system gets this message "Dear Customer, You have been successfully migrated to the Next Generation e-Ticketing website. To Print/Cancel/FileTDR of your old transactions done before migration, click "My Transactions" below. To book e-tickets, click "Proceed For Booking". After migration new transactions can be viewed in "Booked Ticket History" like the given below.

When you log-in to the NGET IRCTC e-ticketing system, there will be three options that are Proceed for Booking - Click on this if you want to book tickets, Update Profile - to update your profile and My Transaction - to view your previous tickets and transaction.

This next-generation website is composed of many new features like all new journey planners to book tickets also now users will automatically log out of IRCTC account after every three minutes to minimize the load on the website. Previously, users were getting a session expired error.

Improved New IRCTC Login Page

IRCTC login page has improved a lot in the new next-generation e-Ticketing system of IRCTC. Now it is faster to access it to book tickets online. IRCTC login page can be accessed at https://www.irctc.co.in which is redirected to https://www.irctc.co.in/eticketing/loginHome.jsf. The homepage of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation online ticketing website is the IRCTC login page.

As you type in the website address in your browser, it will be presented to you with a login section in the middle of the page.

On the top of the page is the IRCTC logo and the CRIS logo. CRIS is the Center for Railway Information System who designed and host this page.

Then there is a menu bar with the following options:
  • Home - to access the homepage if you are at any other page. 
  • Contact us - to contact the IRCTC you can click on this link.
  • Tour Packages - Details of the tour packages.
  • Flights - To find details and book flight tickets.
  • Hotel and Lounge - Details of the Hotel and Lounge available at your destination.
  • Tourist Train - Detail of all tourist trains.
  • Special Holidays - Details of the special train running during holidays.
  • Retiring Room - Details and booking of retiring rooms.
  • Pilgrim Special Tourist Trains - Trains to special pilgrim places.

Then there is a new launch scroll bar to display the details of new launches by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation. Then there are three sections, in the middle is login section to log in the website and book tickets, on the left is alert and updates section to display latest update and alerts to users and on right is IRCTC attractions sections.

After the IRCTC Login page is 'Plan my travel' page for seat availability check which can also be used for Tatkal ticketing. It can also be used on mobile phones.

Then there are a lot of advertising sections and in the middle of that is website information library with the following information:

In the older version of the website accessing IRCTC login page was difficult during Tatkal ticketing hours especially during 10 AM in the morning. During this time the traffic load on the website is huge which slows down the website.

But IRCTC has launched its new next-generation e-Ticketing system to tackle the problem. Now it has become faster to access the IRCTC login page and also ticket booking has become faster. 

So log in to your IRCTC account through NGET IRCTC login form and migrate to the IRCTC next generation e-ticketing system to get the advantage of all new set of features and a much faster system, you will enjoy booking tickets now.
